Medaille College Community Resources
Medaille respectfully acknowledges that its campus grounds are located on lands still regarded as being the homelands of the Seneca and many Haudenosaunee people. As such, the University is asking its campus community to incorporate a Land Acknowledgment Statement as part of the formal proceedings of any campus event, increasing awareness and education opportunities.
Medaille Interim President Dr. Lori V. Quigley has been elected as the ombudsperson for the National Indian Education Association (NIEA). In that role, she will continue her work to advance comprehensive, culture-based opportunities for Native American students across the country. Dr. Quigley, who is a proud Seneca Nation, Wolf Clan member, has been involved in Native American education for over 30 years.
On October 21, the Medaille community gathered together for the 2022 Honors Convocation to honor the academic achievements of students. This annual event also celebrates scholarship donors and recipients, and it includes the formal presentation of the Dr. Brian Shero Teaching Excellence & Campus Leadership Award to an esteemed faculty member.
