National TRiO Day

National TRIO Day

Presented by TRiO Support Services and Upward Bound

Saturday, March 10

10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Events Arena

On Saturday, March 10, Medaille College will welcome all TRIO programs in the Western New York region to celebrate National TRIO Day. We hope you can join us!

Congress officially recognized TRIO Day on February 28, 1986, to increase support and awareness of TRIO programs! Every year since 1986, colleges across the country have honored TRIO Day to focus the nation's attention on the needs of underprivileged people aspiring to improve their lives through higher education. Thousands of students and alumni will join together this spring to recognize the impact of TRIO on their lives, and mobilize their communities through acts of service. The purpose of TRIO Day at Medaille is three-fold, in that we will:

  • Celebrate and reflect on the positive impact of federal TRIO Programs in our community.
  • Network with TRIO participants, staff, and alumni throughout Western New York.
  • Act to protect and further access to higher education for low-income and first-generation students, and students with disabilities.

TRIO Day has been proclaimed a National Day of Service. We foster community service as a way for our region to give back to the community and say thank you for its support. Please RSVP if you plan to attend on Saturday, March 10, in the Events Arena, from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Saturday, March 10, 2018 - 10:00am to 3:00pm
