Dr. Reichenberg Highlights Medaille’s Graduate Literacy Education Program at the New York State Reading Association Conference
Medaille College Assistant Professor and Program Director for Literacy Education Jennifer Reichenberg, Ph.D., served on the opening panel of the New York State Reading Association’s Annual Conference in Albany, New York, on November 14. The conference brought together literacy educators from across the state, and Dr. Reichenberg discussed how Medaille is implementing the International Literacy Association’s revised Standards for the Preparation of Literacy Professionals in the College’s graduate level M.S.Ed. in literacy program. She highlighted the expansion of the program’s emphasis on literacy coaching, digital literacy and rich fieldwork experiences as ways the program has grown in response to the International Literacy Association’s revised standards.

The second phase of development at the Medaille Sports Complex, slated to be completed in summer 2020, will add a baseball diamond, three softball diamonds, four dugouts, two batting cages, press boxes, scoreboards, and a multipurpose field to the already robust site.
