Associate Professor Alice Villaseñor Ph.D., director of the English program at Medaille College, presented her research at the Annual Conference of the British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies at St. Hugh’s College, Oxford University this January.

Dr. Villaseñor presented her paper, “Isolating Catherine Hubback’s The Younger Sister from Jane Austen’s The Watsons,” which focused on the reception history of a version of Jane Austen’s unfinished piece published by one of Jane Austen’s nieces in the Victorian era.

The annual meeting of the British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies is Europe’s largest and most prestigious annual conference dealing with all aspects of the history, culture and literature of the 18th century.
