Director of Business Development & Brand Manager, The Martin Group
Role with the Board of Directors: Secretary
Why do you stay connected to Medaille? I stay connected to Medaille because I’m incredibly grateful for the experience I had as an undergraduate student. I truly want other college-bound youth from my community to have the same experience and continue to see Medaille hold its own against the competition.
What do you enjoy most about being a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors? What I enjoy most is making decisions that benefit the Medaille community – applicable to both past and current students.
What professor or class at Medaille stands out as a favorite, or as one that had a great impact? Without question, Alan Pergament, an adjunct professor with the communications department. He is the media critic for The Buffalo News, and truly shaped the way I approached my television career. Years later, he continues to be a mentor and friend – he even attended my wedding!
What advice would you give to a current student? Work like you only have one shot – which is exactly the case.
What recent Buffalo development are you most excited about? Definitely the work being done on Main Street in downtown Buffalo. Being able to witness long-vacant buildings and an entire neighborhood come back to life is captivating.
Last book you read: David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell.
Personal motto: Avoid mediocrity at all costs.
My favorite holiday is: Thanksgiving
Growing up, I wanted to be: An attorney
For the best wings in Buffalo, I go to: Allentown Pizza
