The annual contest aims to promote the advancement of children’s literacy skills through hands-on, active learning, empowering children grades K-3 to celebrate creativity while building literacy skills, all by writing and illustrating their very own stories.  

Merchants Insurance Group Establishes Marge Kafka Scholarship at Medaille

Merchants Insurance Group has established a $25,000 endowed scholarship at Medaille to honor Marge Kafka '90, a longtime member of the College’s Board of Trustees, as she retires from the company. Kafka has worked for Merchants for the last five decades. In addition to the company's donation, Merchants Insurance President Robert Zak made a personal contribution to the scholarship.

Medaille Recognizes Charles E. Moran, End of Comprehensive Campaign at Founders’ Day

Medaille’s Founders’ Day Celebration 2016 was held at the Lexus Club at First Niagara Center on June 9, and among the highlights was the recognition of Charles E. Moran, Jr. as the fifth member of the College’s Heritage Council. Moran, the chair of Medaille’s board of trustees, also served as co-chair of Founders’ Day 2016 with his wife, Diane, and fellow trustee Heidi Raphael '85.

Robert L. Stevenson Honored at Medaille’s Founders’ Day Celebration

Robert L. Stevenson, president and CEO of Eastman Machine Company and a member of the Medaille College Board of Trustees, was honored at Medaille’s Founders’ Day Celebration 2015 on May 21. Stevenson was recognized as the third member of Medaille’s Heritage Council, which honors those who have demonstrated exemplary service and support to further the College’s mission.

Founders’ Day 2015 on Thursday, May 21, also features a live auction, entertainment, food and cocktails in one of the area’s architectural jewels.
