WIVB-TV Anchors Christy Kern and Dave Greber Visit Medaille to Speak to Broadcasting Students

WIVB-TV broadcasters Christy Kern and Dave Greber recently visited Medaille's Buffalo campus to speak to students in a COM 130 broadcasting class. Kern, a Western New York native, anchors the 4 p.m. and 6:30 news, and Greber anchors the “Wake Up!” morning news. The News 4 anchors shared their experiences and tips with the Survey of Broadcasting: History, Programming and Operations class.

Department of Communication & Sport Studies Chair Lisa M. Marsherall makes a point of bringing professionals from the industry to campus to speak to students during classes or department luncheons. She believes that students benefit from hearing these professionals, including Medaille alumni, speak about real-world field experience and industry best practices.
