WNY Supports Student Opportunities at MAVstravaganza 2019
Medaille College’s 2019 MAVstravaganza party, an annual event in support of student opportunities at the College, was held at the Curtiss Hotel on June 6. Phillips Lytle LLP was the presenting sponsor of the event, which brought together faculty, staff, alumni, students and friends from the Western New York community. Guests enjoyed one of Buffalo’s best views from the Curtiss’s VUE rooftop lounge and patio, along with an evening of food, cocktails and entertainment, all to benefit hard-working and deserving students.
Medaille President Kenneth M. Macur, Ph.D., and Phillips Lytle Partner Amanda Lowe welcomed guests to the event and presented remarks to attendees and contributors. “We are so excited that this is the 10th year we are supporting this event,” said Lowe on behalf of Phillips Lytle. “Medaille's leadership, trustees, administrators, faculty, staff and students inspire us each and every day.”
City of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown was in attendance to show his support of higher education, and a chance auction drawing for nine prestigious packages closed out the evening’s formal proceedings.
Formerly known as Founders Day, MAVstravaganza is Medaille’s annual fundraising event for scholarships and educational opportunities at the College. A follow-up party, MAVstrav 2, will be held at Buffalo RiverWorks on June 28.
