About Dr. Richard Gerber:

Richard Gerber holds a PhD. and M.S.Ed. in Secondary Math Education and a duel Bachelor's in Math and Electrical Engineering from the University of Buffalo. He has been teaching math for 16 years. His research interest include the effects of writing assignments on math comprehension and the processes students use while generating algebraic representations of problem situations. His courses stress the practical application and verbal communication of mathematics.
