WNY Celebrates Student Opportunities at Medaille’s 2018 MAVstravaganza Party

Medaille College’s 2018 graduates walked the stage and accepted their diplomas at the College’s 143rd graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremonies on May 18. Friends, family, and Medaille faculty and staff were assembled at Kleinhans Music Hall to celebrate with the new graduates.

Medaille students and faculty showcased their work at Student Research, Scholarship and Creativity Day on May 4. The second annual event featured the work of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as members of Medaille’s distinguished faculty.
Medaille College celebrated the opening of its new, $1.3 million Laboratory and Science Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 24. The celebration of the donor-funded, state-of-the-art facility featured tours, live demonstrations and experiments by Medaille students.
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz and Wendel Companies Director of Sustainability Aliesa Adelman discussed the importance of creating a sustainable community, and the role of business within that community, during an event at Medaille College on April 19. The speakers also addressed how companies can take the first steps to becoming sustainable at the latest event in Medaille’s Buffalo’s Future series, “Leading Your Company to Sustainability.”
Medaille College clinical assistant professor Steve MacMartin ’13 and a panel of local experts discussed how to plan for a disaster during an event at Medaille’s Buffalo campus on February 8. MacMartin, the director of Medaille’s bachelor’s degree program in homeland security and a recently retired Senior Special Agent/National Program Manager with the U.S.
Hours before opening for Bruno Mars at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, international pop star Dua Lipa performed an exclusive concert at Medaille College on September 27. A secret show sponsored by radio station Kiss 98.5, the surprise concert was exclusively for Medaille students and Kiss contest winners.
Medaille’s second annual College Colors Day celebration was held on September 13.
