Michele Costa

Puppeteer Michele Costa has been designing and performing original productions since 1990.  Her passion is taking the small & ordinary and finding the meaningful and relevant story within it.  She is also a professional scenic artist, costume designer, and builder of special props, puppets, and masks for area theaters and dance companies.  For Write Thing, she will be performing  ELLE: The wished-for girl :  “Mask, movement, and scrolling, painted imagery tells the story of a “wished-for” girl thrust into the un-circus world of adventure and self-discovery.  Story, mask, and paintings by Michele Costa with Wordsmithing by Mary Richert; Music by Bill Frisell and Circus Contraption.
